GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's volleyball team finished the second day of the Knight Challenge 1-1. In the first match of the day, the Knights swept a 2017 NCAA Elite Eight team in Hunter College, 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-23). The final match saw Arcadia fall to Eastern Mennonite (EMU), 3-1 (18-25, 25-20, 18-25, 14-25).

FOR THE RECORD:
- The Knights hold a 7-6 record on the season.
- Hunter sits at 2-3, while EMU is 11-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The first set was all squared up at eight, before the Knights would take an 11-3 run to extend the lead, 19-11. The Hawks tried to make a later run, however Arcadia finished on top, 25-18.
- The second set was back and forth the entire game until the Knights pulled away at the end to come out on top, 25-23.
- Much like the first two sets, the final game was close. The set saw 11 ties before the Scarlet and Grey finished the match on a 3-1 run, capped by a kill from sophomore Edwin Waters Jr.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Eastern Mennonite took an early lead; however, the Knights came back to tie the first set at 9-9. From that point on, the Royals buckled down to finish the set on top, 25-18.
- The second set belonged to the Knights. Despite push back from the Royals, Arcadia never trailed in the second set, as it finished on top, 25-20.
- The third game saw nine ties before Eastern Mennonite was able to pull away to finish the set, 25-18.
- The final set ended with the Royals on top, 25-14.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Waters Jr. led the Knights offensively with eight kills, followed by Moctezuma and Baily with six.
- Devantier finished with 25 assists and two service aces.
UP NEXT:
- Arcadia travels to Messiah on Wednesday for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) matchup against the Falcons. The match is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
