Men’s Volleyball Returns to the Court with 3-0 Win Over Misericordia

FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Scarlet and Grey improved to 11-9 on the year, and 5-2 in the MAC.
  • The Cougars are now 11-14, with a 1-8 conference mark.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The Knights came out hot, scoring 10 of the match's first 15 points. Arcadia continued to increase its lead throughout the first set, before scoring the final four points to take the first game 25-12.
  • The second set was back-and-forth early. Trailing by one, the Scarlet and Grey ripped off six straight points for a 13-8 lead. The Knights outscored the Cougars 12-6 the rest of the set 25-14 to take a 2-0 lead in the match.
  • The Knights scored eight of the first 11 points in the third set. The visitors battled back, however, tying the game at 23 before sophomores Jason Manley and Jarod Pichler each recorded a kill over the final two points to seal the win, 25-23.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
  • Arcadia hit .500 for the game, totaling 50 points on 34 kills, 10 aces and six blocks.
  • Baily led all players with eight kills, while adding three aces and two digs.
  • Manley matched Baily's three aces, while recording seven kills on nine attempts.
  • Freshman Anthony Devantier handed out 28 assists on the night.
  • Pichler led Arcadia with four digs.

  • The Knights head to Springfield, Mass. This weekend to take on both No. 1 Springfield and Lehman.
