Baseball Falls at Keystone

LA PLUME, Pa. – The Arcadia baseball team fell to Keystone Sunday afternoon, 9-4. Senior Drew Coisson and juniors Bryan Gillen and Sean Carew led the Knights with two hits each.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • The Knights are 10-4 on the year.
  • The Giants own a 9-5 record.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The hosts scored six runs over the first three innings. Gillen got the Knights on the board in the top of the seventh inning, with an RBI single down the right field line to plate freshman Brett Moyer.
  • Trailing 9-1 after eight innings, the Scarlet and Grey plated three runs in the top of the ninth inning. With two outs, Carew drew a bases loaded walk that allowed Gillen to score. Freshman Trevor Mattson reached on an error in the next at-bat, allowing senior Nick Cardace and sophomore Phil Pierfy to cross the dish.

  • The Knights are slated to return to action Thursday at Messiah. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
