Men’s Lacrosse Falls in Overtime Nail-Biter Against Lebanon Valley

GLENSIDE, Pa. – Arcadia men's lacrosse battled back-and-forth with Lebanon Valley Wednesday evening, forcing overtime, however the Knights fell, 8-7.
 
FOR THE RECORD:
  • Arcadia falls to 6-7 on the season and 2-5 in conference play.
  • Lebanon Valley advances to 8-7 overall, with a MAC Commonwealth mark of 3-4.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • The visitors pulled ahead in the first frame, 2-1. The Knights saw the lone goal from freshman Brady Manion, with an assist from sophomore Clo Muscara.
  • Arcadia capitalized in the second quarter, tying the game 3-3 at the break. The Scarlet and Grey had goals from freshman JP Shaaber and senior Nick Ferraro.
  • In the third, the Knights took advantage, outscoring the Dutchmen, 2-1. Muscara buried the first goal for Arcadia, followed by a score from freshman Kameron McKithen.
  • Lebanon Valley held the upper hand in the fourth stanza, 3-2, sending the game to overtime. Arcadia's scores game from the sticks of Muscara and sophomore Austin Williams.
  • The Dutchmen were able to score the equalizer in OT to take to win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Muscara ended as the team's highest scorer with three points on two goals and one assist.
  • Ferraro and Williams registered two points each, both having a goal and an assist.
  • Five other Knights finished the game with one point.
  • Senior goalkeeper A.J. Beck posted 17 saves on the evening.
  • Junior Conor Cunningham was nearly perfect on faceoffs, winning 14-of-18, with nine ground balls.
UP NEXT:
  • The Knights finish the regular season Saturday as they travel to Lycoming for a 1 p.m. start.
