WAYNE, N.J. -- The Arcadia field hockey team rallied from a 2-0 deficit and scored with under a minute to play in overtime to pull out a 3-2 win at William Paterson on Wednesday evening.

The Knights (4-2) scored the final three goals of the contest,
Lauren Dougherty assisted on each of the last two, to produce their second OT win in the last three games. William Paterson fell to 3-4 with the loss.

Hope Addlesberger and Michaela Meillier scored the first two goals of the game and staked the home team to a 2-0 lead by the 22:05 mark of the first half.

The Knights began their comeback just over seven minutes later as
Carly Flickinger scored off a feed from
Mickie March to make it 2-1 at 29:13. Midway through the second half, Dougherty found
Gabby Sedares for the equalizer to make it 2-2.

With the clock showing less than a minute to play in the first OT period, Dougherty set up
Autumn Gahman for the game winner at 79:12.

IN GOAL:
Catherine Bergmueller started in goal for the Knights and played the first 22:56, allowing two goals and making two saves. She gave way to
Ashton Evans who played the final 56:16 and came up with one save while not allowing a goal to pick up the win. Molly Rickerhauser played all 79:12 for William Paterson and made 12 saves with three goals allowed.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: Arcadia pounded the William Paterson goal, taking a whopping 29 shots with 16 on goal, compared to just 12 shots (5 SOG) for the Pioneers … the 29 shots were far and away the most that AU has taken in a game this season … The Knights also earned 22 penalty corners, also a season high … Dougherty's two assists were her first two helpers of the year after posting four as a freshman … Sedares' goal came on eight shots, which tied a season high for any Knight in a single game this season … The win marked the second time this season that the Knights have had three different goa scorers as AU continues to feature balance offense.
