GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's soccer team scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to cruise to a 5-0 win over Penn State Berks on Thursday night at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.
After leading 1-0 at the half, the Knights (3-4) came out strong to start the second.
Daniel Tittelmayer scored his first goal of the season, just four minutes into the half, giving Arcadia a 2-0 lead.
A goal by
Manny Camacho, his first of the season, extended the Knight's lead to 3-0. Just three minutes later,
Ryan Hammer added a goal, his fourth of the season with an assist from
Sam Hernandez making the score 4-0. Arcadia coasted the rest of the way to the win.
IN GOAL: Matthew Goldberg played 72 minutes for the Knights, making one save.
Joe Cimino played 17 minutes in the win. Trent Johnson, Carter Lam and Gerado Sosa all saw time in the contest for the Nittany Lions.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knight's 12 points and five goals are the most they have tallied in a match this season … Arcadia also set a season-high with 23 shots, and 12 shots on goal ... Arcadia had five different players score in the victory ... The last time the Knights scored five goals in a match by five different players was in a 5-1 win over Penn State Altoona on Sept. 1 last season
