GLENSIDE, Pa. – The Arcadia men's soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with Salisbury on Saturday evening at the Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.
The Knights move to 3-4-1 on the season while Salisbury is now 6-1-1.
After a scoreless first half, the Knights broke the ice early in the second half.
Daniel Tittelmayer scored in the 48th minute on a set-up from Hanrun Abdllahi, giving Arcadia the 1-0 advantage.
Salisbury answered in the 68th minute when Alton Walker scored on a free kick tying the game at 1-1.
Ryan Hammer had a chance to put the Knights ahead late, when he beat the Sea Gulls keeper, but missed an open net from a tough angle, keeping the score tied.
The contest went into overtime, and neither team was able to find the back of the net, ending the match in a draw.
IN GOAL: Matthew Goldberg made five saves in the match for the Knights, while Tyler Brookhart made three stops for Salisbury
BY THE NUMBERS: Arcadia was out shot 13-9 in the match, and totaled four shots on goal … The Knights had four corner kicks on the night, while the Sea Gulls had two … this is the Knights' first tie since October 17 of last season, when Arcadia played to a 2-2 tie with Widener.
UP NEXT: The Knights will be in action again on Wednesday, when they host Cairn. The match will begin at 4 p.m.
