ANNVILLE, Pa. -- An early second-half goal lifted the Arcadia field hockey team to a 1-0 lead at Lebanon Valley on Saturday night at Arnold Field.

The Knights won for the fourth time in a row, and third via shutout, while improving to 7-2 overall an 2-0 in the MAC Commonwealth. The Dutchmen slipped to 5-5 on the season and 1-1 in conference play.

The only goal of the contest came in the 38th minute as
Gabby Sedares collected a pass from
Mickie March across the circle and beat an out-of-position Victoria ByDeley for the game-winning tally.

Lebanon Valley had trouble generating offense in the second half as it looked for the equalizer. After taking 14 shots in the first 35 minutes, LVC took just four in the second half and only two were on goal.

IN GOAL: Ashton Evans made seven saves in goal for the Knights and got a boost from
Sydney Cyr, who came up with three defensive saves. ByDeley made four saves for the Dutchmen and Alida Steenkamer contributed a defensive save.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The Knights were outshot 14-5 in the first half and 18-8 for the game … Lebanon Valley's 18 shots stand as the most that AU has given up in a game thus far, and the Dutchmen's 11 penalty corners are the second most … Cyr's three defensive saves were the first three for the Knights this season and are more than she had all of last season … Evans has now made three starts and notched three shutouts - she has 15 saves on the season and has yet to allow a goal in four appearances.
