OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Arcadia men's soccer fell to Stevenson 2-1 in overtime in its MAC Commonwealth play opener on Saturday at Mustangs Stadium.
The Knights fall to 3-6-1 overall and 0-1 in MACC play while Stevenson improves to 7-3 (1-0 MACC).
After a trailing 1-0 at halftime,
Ryan Hammer scored in the 60th minute with an assist from
Manny Camacho, beating Stevenson goalkeeper Matt Stellitano on the far right post to even the contest at 1-1.
Neither team could score the go-ahead goal in regulation as the match went to overtime. Tariq Lee scored just three minutes into overtime, giving the Mustangs the victory.
Hammer paced the Knights offensively with four shots and three on goal.
Logan Stafford also tallied three shots on goal.
IN GOAL: Matthew Goldberg made five saves for the Knights while Stellitano stopped eight for the Mustangs.
