FREDERICK, Md. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball team picked up a pair of victories Saturday afternoon at Hood, defeating the host Blazers, 3-1, in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth matchup before taking down Bridgewater in straight sets to run the Knights' current win streak to three. Lauren Enfield finished the tri-match with a team-high 38 kills, while Julia Paliwodzinski logged a game-high 42 assists in the non-conference win over the Eagles.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-The Knights and Blazers stayed within two points of each other in the opening stages of the first set, but Arcadia ripped off an 11-0 run to take a vast advantage, 19-7. Of the 11-straight points, four came via Enfield kills, allowing the Knights to claim the first set, 25-12.

-Despite holding a 7-6 lead early in the second set, Hood battled back with five-straight points before the Knights strung together a similar stretch, resulting in a 12-12 stalemate. The Knights regained control to go back up, 21-18, but another 5-0 Hood run proved to be the difference in the second set as the Blazers drew even in the match with a 25-23 victory.

-The Knights took the first five points of the third set and did not look back from there, later jumping out to a 17-7 advantage thanks to a pair of Grace Kraft aces in the middle stages of the set. Enfield capped off the third set, 25-10 victory with a pair of service aces.

-After being tied at five in the fourth set, the Knights went on to earn 16 of the next 17 points - including a stretch of 12-straight - to take a commanding 21-6 lead. The Blazers refused to be turned away and battled back to get within six points at 23-17, but Maddie Hall's kill clinched the fourth set and the match for the Knights.
