SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball team concluded its three-match, weekend stay in New York Saturday afternoon, dropping a pair of matches to Brockport and host Union. Julia Paliwodzinski 74 assists  between the two matches on the day to lead the Knights.

Arcadia returns to MAC Commonwealth play Wednesday at Alvernia in its final road conference test of the regular season.

BROCKPORT 3, ARCADIA 2
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights began the afternoon by taking the first two sets of the match to take a commanding lead. With the first set tied at 11-all, Arcadia ripped off a 6-1 run to take a 17-12 lead before a pair of Lauren Enfield kills sealed the opener, 25-21. The Knights then jumped out to an early 12-5 lead to begin the second set, fueled by three kills each from Enfield and Shannon Ryan. Brockport battled back to tie the set at 23-all, but Arcadia squashed the comeback attempt by taking advantage of a pair of errors to take the second, 25-23.

-Brockport got on the board with a 25-20 victory in the third set to get within one before erasing an eight-point Knight lead in the fourth en route to a 25-23 win to even the match at two sets apiece.

-After trailing 6-3 early in the deciding fifth set, three Ryan kills and an Elechko ace sparked five-consecutive Knight points to take a two-point lead. Brockport rallied back to jump out in front by four and serving match point at 14-10, but three-straight errors brought the Knights back within a point with the match on the line. However, Brockport produced the deciding point to take the set, 15-13.
