Clo Muscara set school records for goals (7) and points (9), and the Arcadia men's lacrosse team got off to a rousing start in 2019, posting a 15-4 win over King's on Saturday.

Playing the first game under new Head Coach
James Purpura, the Knights (1-0) cashed in for five first-quarter goals in a taking a 5-1 lead after 15 minutes of play and never looked back.

Ryan Mahon scored the first two AU goals of the season, and Muscara answered with back-to-back tallies of his own for a 4-0 lead at the 5:33 mark. Muscara then set up
Sean Connolly at the 2:17 mark as the AU lead swelled to 5-0. King's did get on the board in the first, making it 5-1 on Gabe Vansuch's goal with 1:38 left in the period.

Arcadia continued to pour it on in the second quarter, a
Brady Manion goal opened the scoring,
Wesley Sporer followed with an unassisted tally, and Muscara struck twice more, the last coming with 15 seconds left in the quarter, as AU took a 9-1 lead into halftime.

Manion and Muscara each scored to open the third as the lead grew to 11-1, and
Tanner Pajakinas tallied his first goal of the season with 6:11 left in the third to make it 12-1. Muscara added two more goals in the fourth to push his total to seven for the game. His nine points on the day eclipse the previous single-game record of eight.

The Knights' offensive onslaught was aided by a stellar performance from freshman
Grant Palmer in goal. Palmer made seven saves against four goals allowed, posting a save percentage of .714. Arcadia was 13 for 23 at the faceoff X, including a 9 for 14 mark from
Philip Hane, who also contributed three assists.

Nick Crawford had three caused turnovers and four ground balls, while
Josh Keitz added three caused turnovers and three ground balls for the Knights. Manion finished with a pair of goals and two assists for four points.

Arcadia is back in action on Sunday when it takes on Marywood beginning at 2 p.m.
