LAFAYETTE HILL, Pa. – The Arcadia women's tennis team fell to Ursinis on Saturday to open its spring schedule.
Tess Weber won her flight No. 1 singles match 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 over Caitlyn Sorelle.
Julia Paraboschi won the flight No. 4 singles match 8-3 over Jessica Leach, for the Knights' two points on day.
In doubles,
Maeghan Myers and
Emily Cruz-Pineda were down 5-0, and attempted to comeback, but the comeback effort came up short, as the duo fell 8-5 in flight No. 3 of doubles to Leach and Madison Havrey.
Julia Paraboschi and
Casey Boldt also fell 5-8 in No. 2 doubles. Paraboschi and Boldt fell to Maddie Russell and Cara Freedman.
Webber and
Zoe Foglia fell 8-2 in No. 1 doubles, falling to Sorrelle and Brenna Trkula.
Foglia (1-6, 1-6) Cruz-Pineda (0-6, 0-6), Boldt (2-8) and Myers (1-8) were the other Knights who competed in singles.
The Knights are back in action on March 10 against Carroll.
