Men's Tennis Topples Carroll 5-4

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Arcadia men's tennis team rallied for a 5-4 win over Carroll on Sunday afternoon in its first action of its annual Spring Break Trip.

The Knights, who fell behind 2-1 after doubles then found themselves trailing 4-2 after the first three singles matches finished, posted wins at Nos. 4, 5 and 6 singles to pull out the come from behind win. Alex Post notched the match-clinching fifth point at No. 6 singles with his come-from-behind victory over Chris Jensen. Post dropped the first set 7-6 (3) then rallied to tie the match at 1-1 with a convincing 6-1 win in the second set. He then rolled to a 10-3 win in the decisive third set to make winners of the Knights.

John Zinzer and Drake Hanak each posted straight-set wins at Nos. 4 and 5 to pull AU even at 4-4. Post and Ryan Stellato recorded an 8-4 win at No. 3 doubles to tally an important point for the Knights. Stellato then cruised to a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles to tie things up at 2-2 before wins for the Pioneers at the top two singles flights gave Carroll a 4-2 lead.

The Knights are back in action on Monday against Marietta at 5 p.m.
