HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Arcadia women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over Marietta on Monday evening.

The Knights improved to 4-6 with the win, including default victories at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles. All four of AU's wins in singles came in straight sets.

The tandem of Julia Paraboschi and Tess Weber cruised to an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles for a 1-0 lead, and Casey Boldt and Alex Volkov posted an 8-6 win at No. 2 to make it 2-0.

In singles, Weber posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Latrice Nelson at No. 1, and Paraboschi had just as easy a time at No. 2, besting Erin Warvell 6-2, 6-0. Emily Cruz-Pineda gutted out a 7-6(2) in her first set with Anne Thompson, then cruised to a 6-2 win for a point at No. 3.

Boldt picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 4 as Marietta secured its lone point at No. 5.

The Knights are back in action in S.C. on Tuesday against Wisconsin Lutheran beginning at 6:30 p.m.
