SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The duo of
Harun Abdullahi and
Keegan Bower found the back of the net for the second-straight contest to propel the Knights to a 2-0 victory over Rosemont College on Sunday afternoon.
Both of the Knights tallies occurred in the second half. Abdullahi provided the opening goal in the 57th minute while Bower added an insurance goal in the 79th minute.
Devin Rosser and
Brandon Pryor provided the assists, respectively.
Jake Varrato earned his first shutout of the season with two saves.
Rosser fed Abdullahi with a nice give-and-go from the right side of the box for the Knights first goal. Later in the contest, Bower chipped a shot past the keeper from the left side, following a pass from Pryor.Â
Duncan O'Connor led the team with eight shots, while Bower and Abdullahi had seven and five, respectively. The Knights controlled the pace of play, outshooting the Ravens 28-5. Â
Arcadia improved to 1-1 on the season, while Rosemont fell to 0-2. The Knights are back in action on Wednesday for the squad's home opener versus Ursinus College.
