Knights Claim a Pair of Runner-Up Finishes to Highlight Men's Tennis' Stay at King's Invitational

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - After advancing to the semifinals of the third doubles ladder Saturday afternoon at the King's College Invitational, Luke Thatcher and Jonathan Noble began Sunday morning with an 8-4 victory over Scranton to advance to the bracket final as the only Arcadia pairing to do so on the weekend. The duo narrowly claimed the title, falling 7-8 (1-7) in a tiebreak to settle for the runner-up finish.

LJ Wilkinson and Francis Tamesis also found success in their semifinal matchup opposite Manhattanville in the fourth fourth doubles ladder, claiming an 8-5 victory to clinch a spot in the championship match. The duo then met Manhattanville's second entry in the title match, but was handed a 1-8 defeat to conclude the weekend.

Nicholas Simone and Ryan Stellato were pitted against Manhattanville in the semifinals of the first doubles ladder, but bowed out of contention following a 1-8 loss to the Valiants.
