GILBERT, Ariz. – The Arcadia University men's and women's tennis teams were recognized for their academic excellence by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), with 12 student-athletes earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors and both programs receiving ITA All-Academic Team recognition.
The women's team, which posted a 3.54 team grade-point average, earned ITA All-Academic Team honors for the second consecutive year. Seven Knights were also named ITA Scholar-Athletes, including Emma Chobert, Jaelyn DaSilva, Savannah Falk, Jessie Friel, Leah Hatcher, Kaylee Higgins, and Michelle Planita.
The men's team also secured ITA All-Academic Team recognition for the second straight season after recording a 3.45 team GPA. Five Knights earned ITA Scholar-Athlete accolades: Stas Bazarov, Bernardo Figueiredo, Luis Figueiredo, Kevin McHale, and Jason Small.
On the court, Falk and Bernardo Figueiredo each earned All-MAC Freedom honors during the 2025-26 season.
To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete recognition, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 GPA during the academic year. Teams must achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher to qualify for ITA All-Academic Team honors.
