Men's Soccer Falls against Tough Elizabethtown Defense

Elizabethtown, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's soccer team was shutout, 2-0, at Elizabethtown University, Saturday night. The Knights fell to 4-4 overall, while the Blue Jays improved to 4-2-1 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights offense struggled to generate scoring opportunities against a tough defense. Arcadia was outshot 17-7 and failed to record a shot on goal. 

- Jake Varrato started in goal for the Knights, making four saves on 17 shots face. Colin Smith replaced the sophomore keeper in the 78th minute, but did not face a shot. 

- After a scoreless opening half, the Blue Jays found the back of the net in the 68th and 77th minutes. Cameron Sheva scored the game's opening goal following a corner kick, while Thomas Knox added an insurance tally after a wild scramble in front of the net.

- The Blue Jays were able to keep the Knights off the stat sheet with stellar defense. The Knights were outshot 17-7 and did not attempt a shot on goal.
