Men's Soccer Stunned in Second Half at Cairn

LANGHORNE, Pa. - Daniel Tittelmayer's game-tying goal in the 55th minute Wednesday afternoon at Cairn appeared to be the momentum-shifter in a midweek contest largely dominated by the Knights, but the host Highlanders were able to convert on an opportunity in the 81st minute and hold on the rest of the way for the 2-1 victory. The Knights outshot the Highlanders by a 23-10 margin in the non-conference bout - including a 12-4 edge in shots on goal - but were unable to make the most of their offensive opportunities in the defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights and Highlanders played a scoreless opening 45 minutes to begin the afternoon, although Arcadia posted 11 total shots in the first half while holding the hosts to just four.

-Cairn broke the scoreless tie right out of the gates in the second half, as Brandon Hasko delivered the game's first goal in the 46th minute to give the Highlanders a 1-0 lead.

-Arcadia was quick to respond just moments later, as Varrato's long punt reached Tittelmayer in the Cairn third who then ran it in and buried it past the Cairn keeper bottom left to knot the contest at one.

-With the two sides entering the final ten minutes of the match deadlocked at one apiece, Cairn's Hunter Martinez provided the game-winner in the 81st minute to down the Knights, 2-1.
