Women's Volleyball Stifled by NYU in Home-Opener

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball team (2-2) pieced together a thrilling, first set victory over visiting NYU (4-0) Tuesday night in Alumni Gymnasium, but the Violets were able to string together three-consecutive set wins to take pick up the non-conference victory, 3-1. Maddie Sehrt led the Knights with a team-high 13 kills and four blocks on the night, while Julia Paliwodzinski assisted on 32 points in the effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED

-NYU rallied for victories in the second and third sets to take its first and only lead of the evening while holding the Knights under 20 points in each of the middle sets.
-The Violets took an early four-point lead in the fourth set, but the Knights mounted a comeback to knot the match at 14 in the latter stages of the set by taking advantage of a few NYU miscues.
