UNION, N.J. - The Arcadia University field hockey team made its second trip to New Jersey in its first three contests to open the 2019 season Wednesday night at Kean, dropping a 3-0 decision to the Cougars in the non-conference matchup.
Gracie Fenner made a game-high eight saves in the cage, but the Knights managed just four shots on goal in the midweek defeat.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The two sides came up with a combined six shots in the opening quarter, resulting in a scoreless opening period.
-The Knights were unable to get a shot on goal in the second quarter and kept the Cougars off the board for a majority of the frame, but the hosts found the back of the cage with just under six minutes remaining to take a one-goal lead into the break.
-Arcadia outshot the Cougars 4-3 in the third quarter but could not break through with the equalizer, allowing Kean to score single tallies in the third and fourth to come away with the 3-0 victory.

TEAM COMPARISON
-Kean held the advantage in shots, 18-9, and shots on goal, 11-4.
