Last-Second Three Lifts Lycoming Over Men's Basketball in Overtime

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball team forced visiting Lycoming to overtime in Saturday's Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth contest when Da'Kquan Davis was fouled on a three-point attempt with 4.4 seconds left in regulation and made all three free throws - part of a 33-point day for the junior guard - but the Warriors converted on a game-winning three at the buzzer to down the host Knights, 70-68.

Davis' 33 points were a game-high and marked his fourth game this season with 30 or more points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The two sides traded the lead multiple times in the opening ten minutes of the game and stayed within three points of each other for the entirety of the first half Saturday, but Lycoming held a one-point advantage heading into halftime, 29-28.

-The Warriors began the second half on an 8-0 run to take their largest lead of the game at nine, but the Knights answered right back with a 10-2 run to cut the deficit to one before Jalen Watkins' lay-in at 9:31 mark gave the Knights the lead at 44-43. A Lycoming three with 2:12 left in regulation knotted the contest at 58 before a pair of free throws gave the visitors a three-point lead with 30 seconds remaining.

-The Knights had the ball on the final possession of regulation and Davis got off a deep three with 4.4 seconds remaining and was fouled on the way up, allowing the junior to make all three free throws to tie the game at 61 and send the game to overtime.

-Steve Pendleton pushed the Knights ahead by two with the first points of overtime with just over two minutes left before the two sides traded buckets until Davis gave Arcadia a one-point lead with 9.1 seconds remaining after missing his initial layup but hung in the air long enough to get his own rebound and convert on the tip-in. Instead of taking a timeout, Lycoming pushed the floor and got the ball to Ryan Hollis on the perimeter, who got off one last three at the buzzer and converted to lift Lycoming to the conference victory.
