Dunn Leads Women's Basketball to 72-65 Senior Day Win over Hood

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Knights got out to a quick start in the first quarter on senior day with a 23-9 run on the way to securing a valuable conference win over Hood. HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia jumped out to a 10-2 lead in the first four minutes of play thanks to layups from Taylor Fritz, Sidney Barrer, Taylor Dunn and Julia Makowski. The Knights kept the foot on the gas, ending the first quarter with a 14-point lead.

-The Scarlet and Grey picked up where they left off in the second quarter. After layups from Cyr and Makowski, the Knights held a 16-point edge on the Blazers. The Blazers battled their way back with a mix of layups and free throws, and the Knights entered halftime out in front, 36-29.

-Six-consecutive points from Dunn put Arcadia ahead by 11. Perfect pairs of free throws from Makowski and Fritz gave the Knights a 17-point advantage halfway through the third quarter. The Blazers ended the quarter with a three-pointer, but the Scarlet and Grey still held a 56-43 advantage.

-The closest Hood came to catching the Knights came with under five minutes left to play, trailing by seven. A layup from Cyr along with two free throws from Hoffman put the Knights ahead by ten, and although Hood responded the next possession with two points, Dunn drilled a three to take the momentum back.
