Men's Lacrosse Reclaims Bucks-Mont Hammer in 16-9 Victory Over Delaware Valley

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team secured its third Bucks-Mont Hammer in program history Saturday afternoon as the Knights took down visiting Lebanon Valley, 16-9. Despite trailing at the half, 6-5, the Knights outscored the Aggies 11-3 in the second half to down visiting Delaware Valley in convincing fashion.

Clo Muscara led the offensive attack with six goals, while Brian Albertsen and Wesley Sporer also logged hat tricks. Timmy Fyock made eight stops in the cage en route to his third victory of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Delaware Valley opened the quarter with three unanswered goals to jump out to an early lead. Brian Albertson then put the Knights on the board with an assist from Wesley Sporer with 6:12 remaining. The Aggies quickly responded with two more goals in-between a tally from Clo Muscara before the end of the period, 5-2.

-The Knights opened the second half with three unanswered goals to tie the game, 5-5. Brady Manion connected on the first tally with 10:59 remaining. Sporer tallied his second goal, while Albertson provided the equalizer at the 6:18 mark. The Aggies went into halftime with the lead after a late goal with 39 seconds left in the half.

-Sporer completed the hat trick with an early equalizer in the third quarter. Following a go-ahead goal from the Aggies, Patrick Ensmenger scored after winning the face-off to tie the game. Moments later, Albertson batted the ball into the net with an acrobatic dive on a loose ball to give Arcadia the lead. The Knights then rallied off four unanswered goals to take a 12-7 lead.

-Muscara netted all three of the Knights' scores in the final quarter while limiting the Aggies to just one goal on seven shots, as the Knights cruised back into the win column and secured the Bucks-Mont Hammer with a 16-9 victory - outscoring the Aggies 11-3 in the second half.
