Imbert Nets 100th Career Goal in Knights' 13-10 Victory Over Elizabethtown

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Arcadia women's lacrosse senior Julia Imbert scored her 100th career goal off of a free position shot in the second half to help the Knights take the victory over the Blue Jays Wednesday afternoon, 13-10. She led the Scarlet and Grey with four goals, followed by Shannon Ryan with two. Ryan also recorded her 200th career draw control in the effort.

Senior goalie Veandra Selby tallied 11 saves in the win, tallying a .524 save percentage.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Arcadia freshman Amanda Diachynsky opened the scoring with a goal on the edge of the crease assisted by Ryan. A few minutes later, Elizabethtown evened the score, but the Knights quickly responded. Madison Morabito netted a free position shot to put the Scarlet and Grey ahead, and Ryan found the back of the net with a feed from classmate Jess Kaye. Three consecutive Blue Jay goals put Elizabethtown ahead by two halfway through the first half.

-Ryan struck again for the Knights, shoveling a backhander into the net off the crease to tally her second goal of the day. With a two-man advantage, Imbert netted her first goal of the day with an assist from Kaye to bring the score even with four minutes left in the first half. Imbert tallied her second goal of the day with a feed from Ryan put the Knights ahead by one at the half, 6-5.

-Elizabethtown evened up the score just over a minute into the second half on a free position shot. Imbert found the back of the net off a pass from Hannah McAllister to log her second hat trick of the season. Not even a minute later, the senior attacker netted her 100th career goal off of a free position shot to put the Knights up by two.

-The Blue Jays netted two consecutive goals, both off of rebounds from missed free position shots, to tie the game. Kaye scored her first goal of the afternoon to give the Knights the edge with 19:56 left in the game. Around a minute later, the Blue Jays evened the score again at nine off of a free position shot.

-Hannah McAllister scored her first goal of the night with an assist from Ryan to put Arcadia ahead by one. With almost five minutes left to play, she added her second goal of the night on a free position shot. Diachynsky netted her second goal of the night in transition off a feed from Imbert to give the Knights a three-goal lead.

-Elizabethtown responded with a goal off a rebound from a free position shot with 2:34 left in the game, but Morabito found the net for a free position shot goal to give the Scarlet and Grey their three-goal lead back, sealing the win for the Knights.

-The Knights and the Blue Jays both took 31 shots throughout the game, and Arcadia held the advantage in ground balls with 18, over Elizabethtown's 16.
-Elizabethtown was a perfect 25-for-25 on clears, while the Knights were 23-for-25. Elizabethtown tallied 20 turnovers, while Arcadia totaled 18.
