Women's Lacrosse Stunned in Final Seconds at Swarthmore

SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's lacrosse team battled back from an early three-goal deficit to take the lead in the final minutes of Friday night's non-conference matchup at Swarthmore, but the Garnet rallied for the tying and game-winning goals in the final two minutes to come away with an 11-10 victory over the Knights. Julia Imbert and Amanda Diachynsky paced the Knight offense with hat tricks, as Imbert tallied a game-high six points in the effort.

Caroline Toner led Arcadia with five draw controls and a caused turnover, while goalie Veandra Selby logged a season-high 13 saves in net.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights fell into an early three-goal deficit in the first ten-plus minutes of the game, as the Garnet scored three-straight times after Jess Kaye's goal in the first two minutes of play. Imbert and Kaye both scored twice in the opening half, but Swarthmore took a 7-4 lead into halftime.

Diachynsky provided a pair of scores - including a man-up tally to tie the game at eight-all, before Imbert netted the go-ahead score on an unassisted tally with just under eight minutes left.
