GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University baseball team opened its 2020 home schedule at Sklp Wilson Field in Sunday afternoon's doubleheader with Oswego State, as the Knights dropped both ends of the non-conference doubleheader, 4-3 and 6-4.

Trey Obarowski finished the twin bill 4-for-7 at the plate with a triple and a run driven in.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After a scoreless first two frames from both sides, Oswego State broke through with the game's first run in the top of the third on a sacrifice fly following a leadoff double. The Knights answered right back in the home half of the inning as
Alex Madera drew a leadoff walk before moving up to third on a
Ryan Bealer base hit.
Zachary Sekelick followed with a sacrifice fly of his own to right to plate Madera and even the score at one.
-Sabathne stranded a pair in scoring position in the top of the fourth, allowing the Knights to take the lead in the bottom half on a
Tyler Wisnewski two-out, run-scoring single and a first-and-third play that plated
Zak Thomas to put the Knights up 3-1 in the middle innings.
-The Knights held the same two-run lead into the seventh, but four-straight two-out hits resulted in a three-run seventh for Oswego to take a 4-3 lead as the visitors then turned the game over to their bullpen. Arcadia threatened to draw even with Oswego by getting the tying run to third with less than two outs in both the seventh and eighth innings before getting the winning run to second in the last of the ninth with one out, but the Knights were unable to get the big hit to drop game one, 4-3.
