Women's Soccer Falls on the Road to Stevens Tuesday

HOBOKEN, N.J. - The Arcadia University women's soccer program dropped its MAC Freedom matchup at Stevens Tuesday night, 4-0. The Knights were unable to overcome two first-half Ducks tallies despite a game-high six saves from Julia Mendez.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Stevens took an early advantage with the game's first goal in the sixth minute after a header off a corner found Amelia Rehrig in front of the net, who sent one past the keeper. The Ducks doubled their lead in the 25th minute after a deflection in the middle of the box was collected by Fiona Matthews who netted the second goal of the half, leaving the Knights trailing 2-0 at the break.

-The Ducks netted two more goals in the second half to take a commanding lead, as tallies in the 56th and 57th minutes extended the lead to four. The Knights had a few chances on net in the moments that followed, but shots from Caroline Weirich, Kira Bochard, and Angela Rosenberger were all turned away by Stevens.
