GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team fell in overtime to Wilkes, 1-0, in a rain-soaked match on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field.
WILKES 1, ARCADIA 0 (OT)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- With no rain coming down in the early stages of the match, Wilkes started strong as the Colonels created a majority of the offense in the opening minutes. As the rain began to fall, the teams adjusted to the elements, but no goals were scored in the opening half.
- Most of the second half was fought in the midfield, but both teams had chances in the final five minutes, but neither team could convert as the match would head to overtime.Â
- Wilkes found the game-winner in the 97th minute as Emily Bidelspach lofted a shot over Julia Mendez to win the match for the Colonels.Â
