Men's Soccer Blanks FDU-Florham on Senior Night, Wins Third-Straight Game

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's soccer team wrapped up its regular season home schedule with a 2-0 shutout over FDU-Florham as the Knights honored its eight seniors on Tuesday night. The Knights are currently tied in conference points with Misericordia University and King's College at the top of the MAC Freedom standings.

Steven Warren and Chris Fletcher provided the scoring with assists from Cole Gordon and Duncan O'Connor. Jake Varrato made three saves to earn his fourth clean sheet of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Warren gave the Knights an early advantage in the 14th minute. Gordon came away with the steal at midfield before dishing the ball to Warren, who dribbled to the left side of the box. The first-year snuck the ball past the Devils goalkeeper for his third tally of the season, while the assist marked Gordon's first collegiate point.

- Varrato stopped a Devils free kick from just outside the box in the 28th minute. The senior ranged to the far post to snag FDU-Florham's first shot on goal of the evening.

- Daniel Tittelmayer narrowly missed wide on a breakaway in the 51st minute. Kenneth Marshman set up the senior midfielder perfectly with a fast break, but Tittelmayer played the shot just wide right after elevating the attempt over the charging goalkeeper's head.

- Fletcher added on an insurance tally in the 88th minute for his second goal in two games. Thomas Hoy's corner kick found the head of O'Connor, who redirected the ball towards Fletcher at the near post.
