Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Takes Sole Possession of First Place with Win at King's College

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's soccer team claimed sole possession of first place in the MAC Freedom with a 2-1 victory at King's College on Sunday night. Arcadia captured its fourth-straight conference victory to improve its record to 5-2 in the Freedom.

Steven Warren tallied the game's first score, while Daniel Tittelmayer netted the game-winning goal in the 31st minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights opened the scoring in the seventh minute with Warren's third-straight game with a goal. The first-year has tallied an opening score in the first 15-minutes of his team's previous three games. Warren took advantage of a Monarch's turnover deep in their zone. The first-year controlled the loose ball, charged the net and tucked his shot past the Monarchs diving keeper to give the Knights an early lead, 1-0.

- King's answered quickly with a score in the 15th minute. However, Arcadia regained its lead in the 31st minute with a go-ahead tally from Tittelmayer. Matt Berndlmaier played the ball through traffic from the right corner and found the foot of Tittelmayer, who buried the one-timer attempt.

- Duncan O'Connor had an excellent opportunity to add an insurance goal, but had his strike robbed on a diving attempt by the Monarchs goalkeeper.
