UNION, N.J. - The Arcadia University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches in its Saturday tri-match at Kean, falling in a five-setter to Drew before taking a 3-0 loss to the host Cougars.
Michelle Frank posted a team-high 31 kills between the two matches while
Danielle Doyle and
Nicole Dallara each logged three aces on the afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-After dropping the first three points of the opening set, the Knights stormed back with six-straight points to take the lead and hold on to it the rest of the way in the 25-15 victory. The Knights also ended the set with five-consecutive points as Frank led the way with a team-high three kills.
-Arcadia carried the momentum into the second set to post a 13-3 run in the early going, resulting in an eight-point lead. Frank had four kills over that stretch before a
Mandy Singleton ace capped off the 25-19 win to give the Knights a two-set advantage.
-Drew stormed back to keep the match alive and benefited from a 13-1 run in a 25-12 third-set victory. The Knights led by as many as seven in the fourth set, but a late Drew surge sent the match to a decisive fifth set as the Rangers came away with a 25-22 win.
-The Rangers jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the fifth set which was ultimately too much for the Knights to overcome as Drew rallied for a 15-6 win in the set to take the match, 3-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights and Cougars put together a tightly-contested first set as the two sides traded scoring runs back-and-forth.
Nicole Dallara posted five kills in the opening set before arriving at a 24-24 tie and despite Dallara's fifth kill evening the set at 25-all, Kean took the final two points for the 27-25 victory.
-Despite trailing by six in the middle stages of the second set, Frank and Dallara got the Knights back within two with five combined kills but Arcadia was unable to erase the deficit, falling 25-20 in the second.
-Kean raced out to a 12-4 lead early on in the third set, but the Knights clawed their way back with a 12-4 run of their own to take a 22-20 lead late. Dallara had a pair of service aces and kills over that stretch, but the Cougars claimed five of the final six points the rest of the way to win the match with a 25-23 victory.
