Men's Ice Hockey Falls in Inaugural Game

COLMAR, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's ice hockey team fell in the first game in program history to Aurora University, 7-0, on Friday night at Hatfield Ice Arena. Sophomore goaltender Fletcher Bolda made 48 saves in the loss for the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Penalties were the story of the opening minutes of the game as both teams had players enter the penalty box in the early stages of the first period. The Knights withstood the Aurora charge until the Spartans scored their first goal of the game 14 minutes into the opening period. Aurora would extend its lead to 2-0 with just eight seconds left in the first.
  • The Spartans found the back of the net three times in the second period and twice in the third period to win the opening game of the season, 7-0. Four of the Spartans goals came on the power play in the contest.
