MADISON, N.J. - George Wade led the Arcadia University men's swimming team to a third-place finish at the Ranger Invitational Saturday with a pair of event wins coming in the 100-yd and 200-yd breaststroke events. The Knights totaled 220 points during the two-day event.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights took two of the top-three podium spots in the 100-yd backstroke as
Shane Stauffer produced a runner-up effort with a time of 53.60 while
Janis Kirsis took third at 53.82.
-Arcadia swept the top-three spots in the 100-yd breaststroke as George Wade claimed the Knights' first victory of the weekend with a 59.50 while Kevin Foley (1:00.61) and Tyler Mui (1:00.75) finished second and third, respectively. Wade later went on to win the 200-yd breaststroke event by a two-second margin, clocking a time of 2:11.44.
-Kirsis, Carlos Pinga, Adam Smith, and Dylan Alexander raced to a third-place finish in the 800-yd freestyle relay, touching the wall at 7:18.40.
-Pinga carried that momentum into the 100-yd freestyle with a fifth-place finish in the 100-yd freestyle to earn four points for the Knights.
-Arcadia placed three in the top-ten of the 200-yd backstroke, led by Kirsis' second-place showing (1:56.53) followed by Stauffer in fourth (2:01.97) and Smith in eighth (2:08.22).
