Men's Basketball Downs Delaware Valley in Return to the Hardwood, 78-72

GLENSIDE, Pa. - After 337 days without a home athletic event, Arcadia University played host to the Arcadia University men's basketball program's season-opener Thursday night in Glenside as the Knights cruised to a 78-72 victory over visiting Delaware Valley. The Knights honored their three seniors prior to the contest - Da'Kquan Davis, Jacob Walsh, and Shane Burroughs - and Davis netted a game-high 28 points followed by Jalen Watkins with 15 points off the bench to go along with a team-high five rebounds and two blocks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights got out to a quick start in their return to the hardwood, jumping out to a seven-point lead in the first five minutes of the game. The Aggies worked their way back to cut the deficit to one, but a Justin Money steal and dunk on the other end capped off an 8-2 run to take the lead into the break.

-The Knights and Aggies stayed within one possession of each other over the first six-plus minutes of the second half, but a 10-2 run vaulted Arcadia back out in front by eight fueled by Money and DJ Gardner threes.

-Arcadia went on to lead the rest of the way, as Watkins broke out to score 11 of his 15 points in the second half alone to carry the Knights to their first win of the season 78-72.
