GLENSIDE, Pa. - For the first time since March 12 of last year, Arcadia Athletics is preparing to host athletic events on campus. The health and safety of our student-athletes and staff remains our primary concern.
The commitment of our student-athletes and staff to follow strict health and safety protocols and testing guidelines over the past four weeks has afforded us the opportunity to return to competition during the spring semester, beginning with the men's and women's basketball programs this week followed by the men's volleyball team's return to play on Feb. 24.
In accordance with Arcadia University and Arcadia Athletics Health and Safety Plans, along with Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) mandates, there will be no spectators at home sporting events until further notice. This policy applies to all spectators, including Arcadia faculty, staff, and students as well as families of current and prospective student-athletes.
Limiting exposure and maintaining the health and safety of student-athletes and essential staff working our events is paramount in ensuring our seasons can be played according to schedule and in compliance with the Middle Atlantic Conference protocols.
Live coverage of our home athletic events through live video and stats will be available on ArcadiaKnights.com throughout the spring 2021 semester. Additionally, make sure to follow Arcadia Knights on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for daily coverage of our 26 varsity athletic programs. We look forward to having our faithful Knight fans back in the stands as soon and as safely as possible.
We anticipate the announcement of spring sports schedules in the upcoming weeks and will release that information when it becomes available in addition to any possible changes to our home attendance policy.
