Men’s Lacrosse Drops Close Battle at DeSales

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's lacrosse team fell to DeSales University, 14-12, on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs pulled away from the Knights with a 5-1 third quarter on the way to a narrow victory.

Brian Albertsen led the way for Arcadia with four goals, while Brady Manion had his second consecutive game with three or more goals. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Adam Adamcyzk tallied the Knights' first two goals to give his squad an early 2-1 advantage. Moments later, Manion and Albertsen added on to Arcadia's advantage with back-to-back tallies to pull ahead by three goals. The Bulldogs narrowed their deficit with two goals before the conclusion of the opening quarter, 4-3.

- Ryan Anderson and Wesley Sporer brought the Knights lead back to three goals in the opening minutes of the second quarter. After both teams traded goals, the Bulldogs put together four unanswered tallies to take their first lead, 8-7. Anderson then found the back of the net for the second time in the quarter for the equaliser before halftime.

- DeSales put themselves in the driver's seat with a 5-1 advantage in the third quarter. After three-straight Bulldogs goals to open the half, Albertsen netted the team's lone score of the quarter with 5:32 left.

- Albertsen cut the Knights deficit in half with back-to-back scores to open the fourth quarter, 13-11. However, the Bulldogs were able to hang on to their advantage until the final whistle.
