OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Arcadia University women's tennis team captured its first dual match victory of the 2021 season Saturday at Stevenson, defeating the Mustangs, 7-2.
Tess Weber and
Julia Paraboschi picked up the win at first doubles and went on to win their matches at first and second singles, respectively, to lead the Knights.
Casey Boldt and
Emily Cruz-Pineda were equally successful, combining for the win at second doubles before defeating their opponents in singles play on the road.
DOUBLES RESULTS
-Weber and Paraboschi rallied for an 8-6 win at first doubles.
-Cruz-Pineda and Boldt were dominant at second doubles in an 8-2 victory.
-
Keely Ochs and
Tatum Marino completed the sweep at doubles with an 8-7 (7-3) triumph.
SINGLES RESULTS
-Weber picked up her first win of the season at first singles, 6-4, 6-2.
-Paraboschi followed suit at second singles, taking the match 6-1, 6-3.
-Cruz-Pineda also took care of business in straight sets at third singles, 6-1, 6-0.
-Boldt was victorious at fourth singles with a 6-1, 6-3 victory.
-Ochs fell in her match at fifth singles, 3-6, 2-6.
-Marino was defeated at sixth singles, 1-6, 4-6.
