HOW IT HAPPENED
-The sixth-ranked Spartans got out to a fast start to take a seven-goal lead in the first quarter, but
Brian Albertsen picked up where he left off last week to get the Knights on the board in the opening minutes of the second quarter with his first of two goals on the night.
Jackson Earley followed with a no-look, over-the-shoulder goal from the right side of the cage with 6:19 remaining in the period before the two sides went into halftime.
-The Knights began to click on offense to open the second half, striking for five tallies as
Brady Manion and
Clo Muscara started the scoring before
Evan Scott caused a turnover in the Arcadia defensive third and took it the distance, beating the Spartan goalie in the upper right corner of the cage for his first goal of the season. Albertsen and
Wesley Sporer capped off the five-goal third quarter with back-to-back scores in the final two minutes.
-Earley and Muscara both netted their second goals of the night in the fourth quarter, while
Joe Pedisich found the back of the net for his first tally. Ultimately, the York lead was too much to overcome as the Knights fell in the non-conference matchup, 22-10.
