Big First Half, Vinson's Career Night Lift Men's Basketball Over Lycoming, 89-61

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's basketball team bounced back from Thursday night's four-point loss at Lycoming to take down the Warriors Friday night with a dominant, 28-point victory inside Alumni Gymnasium, 89-61. The Knights had 12 different scorers in the effort, highlighted by a career-high 17 points from JoHaan Vinson while Da'Kquan Davis (22 points), Justin Money (12 points), and DJ Gardner (12 points) also finished the night in double-figures. 

With the victory in the MAC Freedom regular season finale, the Knights even their conference record at 4-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights got out to a fast start offensively as a 13-4 run highlighted by a pair of DJ Gardner threes resulted in a seven-point lead. Gardner's third three ball of the half sparked a 16-2 Arcadia run to extend the lead to an even 20 at 39-19 with just under five minutes left in the opening half.

-Vinson netted Arcadia's final seven points of the half - including a corner three at the buzzer after Davis found him alone in front of the Warrior bench - and assisted on a Justin Money three prior to then as thee Knights took a 50-33 lead into the break.

-Arcadia came out of the break to put together a 10-2 run powered by threes from Davis and Gabe Kier to put the Knights out ahead by 25. The Knights led by at least 20 from that point on, as Vinson continued to add to his career night while Isaiah Lattimore, Kylil Turner, Sean Rafferty, and Jadon White all contributed to the Knights' breakout offensive performance in the final minutes to close out the 28-point win.

TEAM COMPARISON
-The Knights shot an impressive 51.8 percent (29-56) from the field while holding the Warriors to an even 39 percent (23-59).
-Arcadia was equally impressive from beyond the arc, posting a 65 percent (13-20) mark from three.
-Arcadia caused 19 turnovers and scored 21 points off of those chances.
-The Knights finished the game with 12 different scorers and had 42 points come off the bench.

Arcadia (4-4) heads to Widener Thursday to start the final week of the regular season. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
