GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's lacrosse program dropped its midweek MAC Freedom matchup with visiting Stevens Wednesday night, who had received votes in this week's USILA national poll.
Clo Muscara paced the Knight offense with a pair of goals while
Wesley Sporer added two points with a goal and an assist in the effort.
HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights put the Ducks on their heels in the opening minutes with the game's first two goals, as
James Barretta found
Evan Scott in the midfield before diving across the front of the net and beating the goalie in the upper left corner to start the scoring.
Clo Muscara followed a minute later with his first of two goals on the night to extend the Arcadia lead after taking a feed from Barretta on the left side of the cage.
-Stevens responded with six-straight goals to take a 6-2 lead by the end the first quarter.
Wesley Sporer netted a man-up goal to cut into the deficit, but the Ducks kept up the pace offensively to take a 14-3 lead into halftime.
-Muscara and
Ryan Anderson both netted fourth quarter goals for the Knights in the latter stages of the game, but Stevens ultimately came away with the 25-5 victory.
