Women's Soccer Unable to Complete Comeback at Cabrini Wednesday

RADNOR, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team concluded its two-game road trip Wednesday afternoon at Cabrini, falling to the host Cavaliers, 2-1. Kira Bochard brought the Knights within one with her fifth goal of the season in the 74th minute, but Arcadia. was unable to provide the equalizer in the non-conference defeat.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights looked poised to take an early lead in the opening five minutes as Riley Ratcliffe fired a shot on goal but was a touch too high, ricocheting off the crossbar. Just moments later, Cabrini netted the first goal as Kait Cloud found the back of the net following a deflection off of goalkeeper Gabby Green.

-Green kept the deficit at one with a big save coming off of a Cabrini corner around the halfway point of the half and Bochard had a go on goal in the 39th minute, but her shot was met with a save as the Cavaliers held a 1-0 advantage at the break.

-Arcadia began to get some offensive chances in the onset of the second half with three shots in the first five minutes, but Cabrini put a half to the Knights' attack by doubling its lead with a goal in the 65th minute.

-Just over a minute after coming back off the bench, Bochard got the Knights back in the game with her fifth goal of the season in the 74th minute, but the Knights were unable to provide the equalizer in the remainder of regulation, falling 2-1.

-The Knights held the edge in total shots, 8-7, but Cabrini led in shots on goal, 5-2.
