HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights offense came out aggressive in the first half, firing off 6 shots in the first 30 minutes of action. The Knights also attacked on defense, only allowing 3 shots within the same time frame.
- After a scoreless first half, Elizabethtown pushed across its first goal of the match in the 51st minute after a solid cross from the shallow portion of the left flank left Arcadia defenders out of position, thus enabling them to knock in the header from close range.
- While making its final push with less than a minute left, the Knights allowed another goal, as three Elizabethtown defenders ran the length of the field off a steal, and knocked it in past the sliding Varrato to seal the deal.
