Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

O'Connor, Tittelmayer Power Men's Soccer Past Penn State Berks, 5-2

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Duncan O'Connor and Daniel Tittelmayer powered the Arcadia University men's soccer team past Penn State Berks, 5-2, in a late Tuesday night match at Jean Lenox West Field. Despite facing nearly an hour-long weather delay in the first half, O'Connor led the Knights with two goals while Tittelmayer tallied two assists and a goal himself to tie for the game-high in points with four.

The duo has combined for 15 points over the previous two games for the Knights.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Knights got on the board early in the 13th minute courtesy of a shifty, left-foot cross from Tittelmayer to O'Connor, who finished the play with a chip just to the left of the outstrretched keeper. Arcadia's attempts to build on its lead were thwarted by a 24th minute, nearly hour-long lightning delay.

-Despite not having many shot attempts in the first half, Penn State Berks was able to knock in a header in the return to the action in the 39th minute. Just three minutes later, Tittelmayer responded with a goal of his own off of a free-kick that skipped off of the foot of a Berks defender into the back of the net.

-Threes proved to be a common theme as the Knights got their 3rd goal of the night just three minutes into the second half - this time coming off a free-kick by Matt Berndlmaier following a Penn State Berks yellow card. The kick sailed off of a Berks defender's head trying to make a play on the ball before finding its way into the net for a commanding 3-1 lead.

-Tittelmayer kept his productive night going in the 70th minute with another assist, this time to Kenneth Marshman, who drilled a kick from just outside of the box into the upper right corner of the visitor's net. The Knights' 5th and final goal of the night was O'Connor's second score of the night, as he arched one from the center of the field right over the head of Nittany Lions' goalie.
