SWARTHMORE, Pa. - The Arcadia University women's soccer team dropped a tightly contested match to Swarthmore in overtime, 1-0, Thursday evening. Goalkeeper Julia Mendez made seven saves in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• The Knights defended well in the first half as they fought off many Swarthmore corner kicks and shots.  

• Arcadia grew into the game in the second half as they created three shots on goal. They also continued to defend well as the second half was a much more evenly contested frame.  

• With neither team finding the back of the net in regulation, Swarthmore broke the tie as it broke the tie in the 96th minute.
