GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's soccer team fell in its home opener, 2-1, to York College on Saturday afternoon at Jean Lenox West Field and Delran Pavilion.
Junior defender Connor Wright opened the scoring for the Knights as he scored his first goal of his career in the 19th minute. Senior goalkeeper Jake Varrato made three saves for the Knights.

Both teams started strong as they both managed to threated the opposition goal with early shots. The Knights got on the scoreboard first when Graduate Student Matt Berndlmaier sent a ball in the box, it bounced around and then Wright found the back of the net to give Arcadia a 1-0 lead.

York did not trail for long as they would tie the game up at one less than two minutes later.

The Spartans scored the game-winning goal just over five minutes into the second half.
