YORK, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's swim team completed the four-day Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championship on Sunday night. As a team, the Knights finished in third place with 979.5 points.
The Knights brought home four more medals on Sunday night, bringing their total to 13 for the championships.
Arcadia put three swimmers on the podium in the 200 breaststroke as George Wade brought home the gold medal with a time of 2:05.94. Kevin Foley won the bronze medal with a time of 2:11.48 and Tyler Mui finished in eighth with a time of 2:12.97.
Janis Kirsis took home the silver medal in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:54.86. Adam Smith finished in 15th place in the same event with a time of 2:05.11.
Janis Kirsis, Carlos Pinga, Shane Stauffer and George Wade brought home the bronze medal in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:09.01, which is a new school record.
Dylan Alexander finished in fourth in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:48.78, just .54 seconds behind a bronze medal placing. Adam Smith placed 12th in the event with a time of 17:24.11 and Daniel Ross finished in 15th with a time of 17:46.30.
Shane Stauffer finished on the podium in the 100 freestyle, finishing tied for sixth place with a time of 47.79.
