Fyock's 14 Saves Lead Men's Lacrosse Past Neumann
 
ASTON, Pa. – Timmy Fyock stopped 14 of the shots sent his way to lead the Arcadia University men's lacrosse team to a 21-7 victory at Neumann University in non-conference play on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Knights improved to 3-3 with the win.
 
Arcadia exploded out of the gate with six consecutive scores. Brady Manion netted the first two, with an assist to Brian Albertsen on the second tally. Albertsen got himself into the goal column with a helper from Cameron Mang. Albertsen found Ryan Anderson for his first goal of the game and Justin Chinici deposited two goals, assisted by Manion and Mang, respectively.
 
Neumann ended the run with a goal making it 6-1 with under 90 seconds played in the second quarter.
 
Kyle McLaughlin broke through with help from Albertsen at 12:49 of the second, but Neumann tallied the next three scores to trim the lead to 7-4 with 9:16 left until halftime.
 
Wesley Sporer (unassisted), Billy Burton (Albertsen), Albertsen (unassisted), and Landan Hajek (unassisted) all scored to end the second quarter as the Knights led 11-4 heading into halftime.
 
McLaughlin and Andrew Borum contributed unassisted goals to start the third with Neumann getting a tally cutting the score to 13-5 before Chinici (Brett Sciascia), Burton (man-up, McLaughlin), and Hajek (Manion) pushed the lead to 11 at 16-5 with 5:55 on the third quarter clock.
 
Chinici sandwiched a goal between two Neumann scores making the count 17-7 Arcadia. Tyler Ravenelle (unassisted), Hajek (Albertsen), and Alex Herka (Brady Wied) finished off the scoring.
 
Albertsen led the offense with seven points on two goals and five assists. Chinici was the high goal-scorer with four. Burton and Sciascia picked up four groundballs and Dylan Mann led the back line with four caused turnovers. Sciascia and A.J. Dominguez combined to win 16 of 30 faceoffs.
 
Arcadia returns to action on Saturday when it travels to Gwynedd Mercy University for a 1:00 p.m. non-conference game.
