Men's Lacrosse Celebrates Senior Day with Fourth Straight Win
 
GLENSIDE – The Arcadia University men's lacrosse won its fourth consecutive game on Saturday afternoon, defeating Lycoming College by a 20-9 final in Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) play following a ceremony to honor the 2022 seniors at Jean Lenox West Field.
 
The Knights improved to 2-0 in conference and 6-3 overall with the win.
 
Brian Albertsen and Brady Manion teamed up to open the scoring at 11:28 of the first quarter, and the two reversed roles 90 seconds later as Manion scored with an assist from Albertsen giving Arcadia the early 2-0 lead.
 
Lycoming then grabbed the lead with three consecutive goals. Sean Connolly tied the score assisted by Justin Chinici and Billy Burton got into the goal column with a helper from Kyle McLaughlin as the Knights held a 4-3 lead after one quarter.
 
Connolly got Arcadia a 5-3 advantage with a score at 11:58 of the second but the Warriors cut the lead back down to one at 12:49 with a goal.
 
The Knights netted four straight goals, unassisted tallies from Manion, Chinici, and Alex Adamczyk, and a goal by Albertsen assisted by Adamczyk to give Arcadia a commanding 9-4 lead with just over four minutes on the clock. After Lycoming ended the run, Albertson and Burton pushed the lead to 11-5 heading into halftime.
 
Burton (Albertsen) and Chinici (Manion) increased the lead to 13-5 with just under four minutes elapsed in the third quarter.
 
The Warriors trimmed the lead back to six with two goals but the Knights responded outscoring Lycoming 3-1 the rest of the third quarter, holding a 16-8 advantage heading into the final quarter.
 
Albertsen, Landan Hajek (Albertsen), and Burton finished the scoring for Arcadia to secure the victory.
 
Timmy Fyock stopped 16 shots to earn the victory.
 
Albertsen led the way with seven goals and four assists for 11 points. Manion had seven points on twi goals and five assists while Chinici totaled two goals and three assists for five points.
 
The Knights dominated in the face-off circle, winning 23-of-29 attempts. Brett Sciascia finished 13-16 and A.J. Dominguez went 10-13.
 
Arcadia returns to action on Wednesday when it will host Wilkes for a 7:00 p.m. MAC Freedom contest.
